george bradigan has told the story of meeting his wife in interviews countless times and it goes a little something like this. the band relays to their lackies that they need some fine women to join them backstage, jean a fairly well known groupie, charms her way in and goes straight for the lead singer, guns blazing and one can only assume guns is a kind metaphor for tatas. in jean's tell-all autobiography about her experiences behind the rock and roll lifestyle, she claims that he came on to her and she was lucky enough to let him into her very flared bell bottoms. after that special drunken night in his hotel room shower, george was smitten and begged her to tag along for the last leg of their tour. jean knew better, declined the offer and did her walk of shame back to the hotel room she and a few friends (see: fellow band aids) had pitched in together for the concert.

this is where the story of her parents gets a dose of romance and an even larger dose of creepiness. a distraught george scours every hotel within walking distance to find which one his lost love is staying at. sadly, his mission was obsolete and he returns back to the guys empty handed. almost a year later, though, as jean's modeling career has taken off so has her social life and the two end up bumping into each other at an event where they quickly rekindled their romance in a bathroom. the two won't admit it, but that's absolutely where their first daughter of four was conceived.

if you happened to ask fiona's parents' if their youngest child was planned, they would undoubtedly answer with a resounding no. jean was at the age where she thought pregnancy was out of the question and her dad george, an aging yet still touring rockstar, responded with a "still got it" upon hearing the news of the plus sign on the stick. fi was an oops baby through and through, but luckily for the girl, that didn't mean she was loved any less. with three sisters ahead of her all varying in age, height, iqs, a live in nanny and a retired model for a mother with lots of time on her hands, fiona bradigan was doted on and praised - even when that meant she really should have been reprimanded. though, for not a lack of trying - crocodile tears became the young blonde's defense and any raised voice toward her would bring on the waterworks. she couldn't take no for an answer.

and she still can't. determined to make a name for herself, fi moved out of her parents' home at age 16 and began writing and recording her first ep. a girl that grew up around every type of instrument, constant impromptu jam sessions and never ever considering having an actual adult-like job, unlike her older sisters, it was no surprise the youngest bradigan turned to the career she has now. no, music was in her blood and that's where it was going to damn well stay.
